Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment plan designed to correct hormonal imbalances or deficits that may occur over time. Because HRT is largely underutilized in traditional medicine, and many practitioners aren't well educated in its use and benefits, symptoms of hormonal issues are often misdiagnosed or ignored.
Here at Damn Girl!, we use bio-identical hormones in our replacement therapies. Bio-identical hormones have the same chemical structure as the hormones made naturally in your body. Research indicates that BHRT may offer less side effects than its synthetic hormone counterparts. Studies have linked synthetic hormones (such as Premarin and Conjugated Equine Estrogen) to adverse outcomes such as blood clots and breast cancer.
BHRT can be prescibed in a variety of forms such as creams, patches, pills, patches and troches, depending on your unique health history, the hormones you need and your preference. We choose to offer compounded hormones so that we can prescribe the exact dosage your body needs instead of having to choose from limited options with standardized dosing. In this way, we offer a BHRT replacement program tailored uniquely to you.
We also partner with local labs to offer you thorough, quality testing to best assess your needs and progress. Standard hormone testing often prescribed lacks many of the lab values required to accurately assess not only hormone deficits, but metabolic complications that can lead to issues with hormone utilization.

Combining treatments like microneedling or prescribed hair loss medications can often lead to better outcomes. We will tailor a comprehensive treatment plan based on your needs during your consultation.

How long does it take to see results from regenerative hair treatments?The timeline for seeing results can vary, but clients typically notice changes within a few months after starting the treatments. Hair regrowth is a lengthy process, and success largely depends on compliance with at-home regimens such as serums, supplements, shampoos and scalp massage. Generally, we recommend a series of 6 monthly treatments. After those are completed, we typically recommend maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.

How long does it take to see results from DE|RIVE hair treatments?The time it takes to see results will vary, but most clients begin to see hair restoration within a month or two of treatments. Hair regrowth is a slow process, so we advise patience and compliance with the process. We usually recommend a series of 3 treatments spaced about a month apart, a treatment at 6 months, and maintenance treatments every six months to a year.

Is regenerative hair restoration and DE|RIVE suitable for all types of hair loss?Regenerative hair restoration and DE|RIVE is effective for various types of hair loss, particularly androgenetic alopecia, which includes age-related hair thinning. However, it’s most effective for individuals who have recently begun to lose hair. Many causes of hair loss are related to vitamin and hormone deficiencies. We recommend asking your primary care provider to run extensive labwork to check for iron, vitamin and hormone insufficiency so those issues can be addressed prior to seeking treatment with us. Although our hair treatments are highly successful in regrowing hair, you will not see the same progress if you are experiencing nutritional or hormonal deficits. During your consultation, we’ll assess your suitability for the treatment based on your specific type of hair loss.
